Marvin's Model Closure Activity
  • Purpose - To facilitate rapid communication about a topic at hand among a large group of people, or to get many points of view in play quickly without engaging in dialogue. This can be used as an opener or for closure
  • Steps
    • Break a large group into smaller subgroups.
    • The facilitator ask a question(s) and gives the whole group 30 seconds to think of a response.
    • Each member of the subgroup answers quickly in turn.
    • As each member speaks, the others listen silently. No one responds to anyone else's answer.
    • The facilitator debriefs the group.
